This e-learning module is designed to provide information and knowledge to coaches working primarily with ski racers in the GLIDING START, SKIER ESSENTIALS and LEARN TO TRAIN phase of ski racer development. This module will help coaches plan to set environments for developing athletic abilities and skills. It will provide information about performance versus learning, abilities and skill development, coaching methods, principles, tools and understanding the equipment they can utilise. The setting section will give guidelines on how to plan, identify safety and risk factors and provide coaches with examples of training environments.

Successful completion of the eLearning module will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 2 educational and 1 risk management credit(s). 

Setting Environments to Develop Athletics Abilities – duration 1 hour

The Alpine Canada Alpin and Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance Intro to Terrain Park Module is for coaches and instructors that have already completed the Entry Level or Level 1 and have an interest in expanding their coaching/teaching skills.

The eLearning module introduces coaches and instructors to Terrain Park. You will learn through this course that the terrain park has many considerations that the teacher (instructor or coach) needs to be aware of to create a safe and fun experience. This course will introduce you to the following: Safety Rules, Park Etiquette, Emergency Action Plan, Park and Features, Risk Assessments, Skill Matching and for teaching in the terrain park.

Successful completion of the eLearning module will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 2 educational and 1 risk management credit(s). 

Intro to Terrain Park module – duration 1 hour

The Alpine Canada Alpin Speed eLearning Module is part of our Development Level and Performance Level coach accreditation program. The eLearning module introduces coaches to coaching at speed events. This module provides coaches with the foundational knowledge require to develop their coaching skills to provide a safe, quality training and racing environment in speed disciplines. Coaches will learn key technical and tactical considerations for coaching Super-G and Downhill.

Successful completion of the eLearning module will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 2 educational and 1 risk management credit(s). 

Speed module – duration 1.5 hours

The Alpine Canada Alpin Ski Cross eLearning Modules are part of our ski cross coach accreditation program. The two eLearning modules introduce coaches to coaching ski cross. In module one, coaches are introduced to ski cross coaching. This module provides coaches with the foundational knowledge require to develop their coaching skills to provide a safe, quality training and racing environment in ski cross. Coaches will learn key technical and tactical considerations for coaching ski cross.

Successful completion of the two eLearning modules will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 4 educational and 1 risk management credit(s).

Module one – Ski Cross Coaching – duration 1.5 hours

The Alpine Canada Alpin Ski Cross eLearning Modules are part of our ski cross coach accreditation program. The two eLearning modules introduce coaches to coaching ski cross. In module two, coaches are introduced the skills and knowledge required to provide a safe and quality training and racing environment. By introducing risk management, legalities, and safety considerations, coaches will be one step closer to understanding the sport of ski cross.

Successful completion of the two eLearning modules will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 4 educational and 1 risk management credit(s).

Module two – Ski Cross Safety- duration 1.5 hours

The Alpine Canada Alpin PARA eLearning Module is part of our Entry Level and Development Level coach accreditation program. The eLearning module introduces coaches to coaching in the PARA context. Coaches who complete this module will gain a better understanding of the sport of para-alpine skiing, as well provide valuable information on how a coach can adapt their coaching to serve athletes with physical impairments. 

Successful completion of the eLearning module will provide credit towards your ACA-CSC coach licensing requirements and provide 2 educational and 1 risk management credit(s). 

Para-Alpine module – duration 1.5 hours
